Bright Laser Technologies (BLT) recently held a seminar in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, focusing on innovative solutions for the footwear mold industry. The event, which took place on August 23rd, attracted over 50 attendees from major brands and footwear industry experts.
BLT’s executive team, including Chairman and General Manager Xue Lei, Deputy General Manager Jia Xin, General Manager of BLT (Shenzhen) Yang Wanhu, Director of International Business Duan Yan, and Sales Director of Southern Region Lin Longde, presented BLT’s latest advancements in metal 3D printing tailored for footwear mold.
The showcase featured over 20 footwear mold samples, demonstrating high precision as much as ±0.02mm for RB mold. The process parameters for the E-TPU “popcorn” footwear mold achieve a uniform distribution of breathable micropores, improving airflow and midsole elasticity. The honeycomb structure in the base also reduces weight while improving efficiency, resulting in a 30% reduction in the manufacturing cycle.
Another highlight of the seminar was the introduction of the BLT-S400 series (2-laser or 3-laser). It offers a build dimension of 400mm × 300mm ×400mm, catering to most one-piece footwear mold requirements. With BLT-S400’s high durability and low gas consumption, it ensures continuous operation 24X7.
The precision of BLT’s footwear mold solution is further enhanced by the BLT-AutoCAL multi-galvanometer calibration system. BLT-AutoCAL utilizes a photosensitive sensor and self-developed galvanometer calibration controller ACC, which improves accuracy by 40% compared to traditional manual calibration.
The seminar also discussed the BLT-BP process planning software, which significantly accelerates the slicing process for both simple and complex mold structures from several minutes to 30 minutes. This software, coupled with the multi-laser movable slicing line feature of the BLT-S400 series, allows for flexible optimization of the printing process.
BLT has already established strategic partnerships with industry leaders such as Yongjing Shoe Material Co., Ltd., and Zhongke Fengyang (Fujian) Technology Co., signaling a growing adoption of metal 3D printing in the footwear manufacturing sector.
